Each camp pairs a private en-suite tent or yurt — with a real bed, linens and a bathroom — with a local chef, an English-speaking guide and private transfers. Meals, day excursions and campfire evenings are part of the package. You bring clothes and a sense of adventure; we provide everything else on site.

Yes. Wild-luxury camps are designed for people who want remote nature without roughing it. There are real beds, hot water and private bathrooms, so first-time campers, couples and families are all comfortable. The difficulty is easy — most days involve gentle walking, riding or driving, not strenuous trekking.

It depends on the region. The Hulunbuir and Bashang grasslands are at their greenest from June to September. Desert-edge camps near Dunhuang and Badain Jaran are best in April–May and September–October, avoiding summer heat. High-plateau camps around Shangri-La and Yading run June through October.

Camps sit in genuinely wild settings — open steppe, dune edges or alpine meadows — often well away from towns. Despite the remoteness, every tent or yurt has its own private bathroom with hot water. We choose sites that balance true seclusion with the comfort and safety small groups expect.

We keep groups small, with a maximum of eight to ten guests, and many departures are private for couples, families or friends traveling together. Small numbers mean quieter camps, more attentive guides and far less impact on the fragile grassland and desert environments we visit.
